Working for an absent client based overseas, this challenging project required a total rethink, a home built in the 90’s with an unhealthy internal living environment, this home was very cold and damp in the winter and extremely hot in the summer, with the outdoor area lacking sun and overrun with mosquitos. The owners needed to realise the value back into their asset and make this a desirable timeless home giving them easy options for their future planning.
The solution required a rebuild from the floor slab up. This house was redesigned to maximise the sun and natural ventilation creating an enjoyable open plan living environment with direct access to a new sun drenched deck. Opening up the roof space to the interior lifted the sense of space, by using energy efficient design and specifications based on Green Building Best Practice principles the owners now have a home they can enjoy and be proud to own.
